Background
Alo Village, located in the highlands of Bensa in Sidama, is one of Ethiopia’s most distinctive high-elevation coffee regions. The combination of extreme altitude, slow cherry maturation, and careful lot separation contributes to coffees with high sweetness, clarity, and aromatic complexity.
Murago is one of Alo Coffee’s key processing stations, known for producing exceptionally clean natural coffees. Ripe cherries are carefully hand-picked and slow-dried on raised African beds, with close attention to airflow and turning frequency to preserve fruit character while maintaining fermentation control.
